What is DLYP?

The Hispanic immigrant population is steadily growing in the United States. US Hispanic population will reach 102.6 Million which will be 24.5% of the total population by 2050. Children born into Spanish speaking families enter the US public school systems lacking English skills. 44% of children 0-5 years of age in Texas today are Hispanic. The academic success of these children depends on their exposure to the English language. The burden of this is being placed on our school systems. Non-English speaking caregivers are not able to support children in school activities, or participate in school functions such as Parent Teacher Associations, Room Mothers and other special areas. DLYP offers qualified, professionally trained tutors and outstanding curriculum to teach the caregivers. Reaching children in their early years allows us to make a difference in schools and communities.
